Susan Hickman

Susan possesses over 20 years experience in not-for-profit administration and finance, working with national, international and city-based organizations, focused on environmental and social justice and community building. Her experience ranges from working with a local community centre to national organizations such as Sierra Club Canada and advocacy movements such as Indigenous Climate Action. Driven by the energy of the teams she works with, Susan strives for just and sustainable operational efficiencies, ensuring organizations can ‘walk the talk’ both literally and figuratively.

She is passionate about empowering citizen-based movements and supporting community advocacy efforts. She currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Horizon Ottawa. Susan lives in downtown Ottawa with her longtime partner and their two cats.
