Karla Webber-Gallagher is an accomplished executive and respected leader with over a decade of senior-level experience across public service, politics, and organizational management.

As the Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Toronto, she leverages strong stakeholder relationships to advance numerous initiatives, and plays a key role in municipal decision-making. She has also served as the Campaign Director and then Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Hamilton.

Karla’s extensive background as a political strategist includes senior leadership roles within the Ontario NDP, where she served as Provincial Director (2015-2018), Deputy Campaign Director during the Party’s breakthrough election in 2018, and Principal Secretary to the Official Opposition at Queen’s Park (2018-2022).

Karla has resourcefully managed complex operations, advanced equity, diversity, and inclusion, and has hands-on experience managing large organizational budgets. As a consultant with Toronto firm, Anchor HR, she combined financial acumen with a dedication to crafting customized solutions that support robust, equitable workplace environments. Her work is grounded in collaboration, strategic clarity, and a deep commitment to building effective, equitable institutions that deliver for the communities they serve.
