Michael Roy is a political strategist and communications professional who specializes in mobilizing public support for issues. Based in Vancouver, Michael has served as Director of Direct Engagement for the BC Government, co-founded Metric Strategies, and served as a senior director at Point Blank Creative. Previously, he was the National Digital Director for Canada’s NDP, where his team set Canadian fundraising records, mobilized 65,000 supporters to campaign events, recruited over 13,000 volunteers nationwide, and produced award-winning ads.
Michael worked in the labour movement, served as Director of Communications for the BCNDP, and joined Rachel Notley’s 2015 Alberta transition team. He’s contributed to election campaigns in Canada and the U.S. at local, provincial, and national levels. Currently, Michael is focused on organizational digital transformation, exploring AI-driven strategies to deliver targeted messaging effectively.
